A Sarasota Sunset, From the Water

Sarasota Bay is the deepest bay between Tampa Bay and Charlotte Harbor, and it is home to a resident dolphin community that has been studied since 1970 by the Sarasota Dolphin Research Program, the longest-running study of a wild dolphin population in the world. A shared sunset cruise puts you out on that water at golden hour, with a good chance of seeing dolphins along the way.
Barefoot Tiki Tours keeps its groups small, with room for up to 16 guests on our USCG-certified tiki boat. Public cruises are sold per person, so you can join without booking the whole boat. Bring your own food and drinks, and we supply coolers, ice and bottled water, with a restroom on board. The dock is at 1101 10th Street in Sarasota.
Shared, not crowded
Our boat carries up to 16 passengers, which keeps the cruise relaxed and personal rather than packed. There is plenty of shade and seating, and everyone gets a view.
Dolphins and wildlife
Dolphin sightings are common in Sarasota Bay, especially on calm evenings, and we keep watch for them throughout the cruise. Wildlife can never be guaranteed.
Golden hour timing
Evening departures are timed around the sunset, which shifts through the year, so check the departure time when you book. Our public dolphin and sunset cruise runs about two hours.
